Video Walkthrough of the Site
Hey, Scott Austin here from Jade Puma in this video, I'm gonna walk through the store redesign that we did for mahogany chocolate. They were an existing Shopify store and we did a redesign for them using the flex theme. Mahogany chocolate is this is the American branch of a global company based in central America. That makes chocolate and coffee and they're ethically sourced. They treat their farmers well, there's a whole coalition, an organization around that. So they had already an existing color scheme, some branding elements, and a lot of photography from where the products are grown own and manufactured. So that gave us a lot of assets to use and create a pretty compelling store for selling of their products. So the products are chocolate, coffee and tea, and, you know, the chocolate is the most number of products, but we allow the customer when they come into the site to pick whichever one's most important for them. They also may be shopping for a gift. So we allow them to, you know, shop by gift giving occasion if they want to also. So let's just say, they're looking at Christmas. We show the products that are most applicable as Christmas gifts. And we also theme that page for the holiday, and that allows them to use these as landing ages for their marketing campaigns throughout the year. So we loaded them up with the most common scenarios or holidays and events in the calendar year that they're going to use for marketing. We also have a buyer guide that says, you know, Hey, if you don't know a lot about chocolate, let us tell you about the different kinds of chocolate we have and why you, you might want to pick one versus the other. So, you know, we explain each one of them and then you can you know, look at just that product. Or if you still can't decide, this is kind of fun at the end, we say, we've also got variety packs, get one of every single kind and, you know, check it out for yourself and see once, once you do like, so here we have the mega menu under chocolate with nice little graphical elements. You know, we got the, the PNGs and the transparency here to get that nice, you know, blended background look. And if we click on the top element of chocolate, we mimic that mega menu in a list of collections page, they can still see all chocolate, they want to, but basically we want them to make it as what type of chocolate are you looking for? So let's say they're looking for chocolate bars. Now here, we have bars that are from Belize and from Panama and with the different types of chocolate, dark chocolate, extra dark chocolate that we explain in the buyer's guide. So we allow them to filter by whatever which one of, one of those is important to them find the product it's right for, for them. So let's just click on this Belize, dark chocolate, and you can see that they can buy one bar, but they can also do a three pack with a little bit of a price discount for buying, you know, a, a pack of them. And we also have the product seal showing what country they were made in we're showing product reviews by judge me got a good product description about the product. We talk about the nutrition pack, showing the, the nutrition facts, showing the nutrition panel. We explain a little bit about how they're sourced in Belize on a Panama product that we talk about Panama, we show the shipping returns policies, and then we show the verbatims for the customer reviews. And it's really nice to see, you know, really great chocolate and, and the words that show up there. And we have that across, you know, all the different products. We add one to the cart, you can see that we have a little bit of messaging there for them. And the, then if we go into the checkout experience, the branding follows through on the checkout using the same colors and the highlight colors and, and, you know, to provide that consistency, even though we're, we're now in the checkout. So that was in chocolate coffee, same thing. You can, you know, pick what's coffee you're looking for. And let's go in into the evergreen pages to share about what that looks like. So we spent some time really explaining how these products are made and, you know, we're, we're sitting here saying it's ethically sourced, right? So we have to back that up with some messaging. So, you know, you can see on the homepage, we talk about empowering the local farmers and all that gets stuff. And that leads down to the same stuff of seed. So we, we explain in the chocolate, we break it down into two components, you know, growing the product from seeds to beans and then manufacturing chocolate from bean to bar. So, because there's so much information with more than we can handle on one page, we break it down to those two pages and all these photos are from the actual facility in Belize showing all the details of how things are done, there's even some video. So anybody wants to really learn how are these ethically sourced? We have that information for them, same thing on the bean to bar side of things, lots of good information shown here, all authentic photography and same thing with the coffee. And then they actually talk even more about cause lots of information, right? Because this is the, the Val one of the big value props is the ethically sourced side of things. We really wanna reinforce that with as much information as we can and hear on the Belize page that even talk about the farming coalition and how it works and how it benefits, you know, the local farmers. So not, not just saying things, but also proving those things that we're saying. And there's a nice little gallery of photos from, from where they're being manufactured. So you can see more details about that. Product reviews are brought to us by judge me. We branded those with our color, your know, the brown color scheme throughout. So they fit right into the, the overall experience. And we've also got, you know, pretty little contact us page, you know, showing the map, you know, that this is the American company that's doing, bringing this, this product to you, contact us for more questions. So all in all, a nice little Shopify store, very focused on selling some products that are unique and differentiated in their marketplace and trying to bring that value prop through and related to the customers consistently throughout our messaging, whether it's on those evergreen pages or even in the actual product pages themselves. So thanks for watching.
