Hey, Scott Austin here in this video, I'm gonna show you how to edit a page that may not be your navigation. So, and in this case, these are pages that are built with templates, where the content is stored in the template, not in the page detail section. So, and first thing, what I mean about that is here I am on a page on a website, right? If I click on edit page, some also logged into the Shopify admin, which is why I get this gray bar at the bottom. If I click on edit page, this page you'll see, has no content, oh, it has some content. We're actually not using this on the page itself. Right? So this page gets edited through theme customization. So when you go to normally, when you go to theme customization, so this is the back end of that same store and the Shopify admin, you go to theme customization.
If you want to edit a page, you, you just click on the element. Let's just say, I wanna edit the contact us page. So you just navigate to where you're going to, but some pages in this case here, this is a landing page that is not in the store's navigation. So there's two ways that you can customize this page, right? The first one is in your theme, customization. You know, if you can't navigate to a page, you have this dropdown at the top and you can navigate to templates. This is not pages it's templates. But when you're using a template for one page, it, it becomes synonymous. So let me show you what I mean. There is, if I click on the pages and now it shows me a list of all my each templates that are in this theme and the one I'm looking for.
So this page I happen to know it's it's template is sunset trading. So here I see sun sunset trading assigned to one page. I click on that and there I am. Now I can edit, you know, through theme customization. This page is content. So that's one way you can get to a page in theme customization that you just can't navigate to. The other way is on the front end of your website. If you're logged into your Shopify admin at the same time, and you get this nice gray bar at the bottom, you can just click on the customized button. And it opens up to that at template, which is applied to that page inside of the theme customization experience. So that's the two ways you can get to customize a page template that isn't in your store's navigation. Thanks for watching.
