SandStraw Wholesale

Hello Scott Austin here from JadePuma. And in this video I'm going to do a walk through of the SandStraw wholesale store. Now currently I'm on the sand straw consumer facing store. Let you see over here we have a wholesale tab with two functions apply in log in. If the person chooses to apply, they'll stay on the sand straw consumer store and look at this web form where they can apply for the wholesale account. In this form here, right now it's kind of narrow because we've optimized that for the mobile experience as there's more people on mobile on this site than on desktop. So we've optimized that for mobile. Now if they apply and get accepted, they'll get an email and they'll start a relationship with sand straw and then they can come here and click this login button and the login button takes them to a new Shopify store that we set up. And we set up a separate store from the consumer store for wholesale for a couple of reasons. And one was we wanted to lock it behind a password like you see here. And the other is all the products are sold in cases and not in individual units. So because the product catalog, although the products are similar, they're in just a different packaging. It made sense just to put it in a separate store to manage things more easily. So the customer will know what the password is, they'll put it in And maybe this time I'll do it properly. There we go. And then they will see the con, the a wholesale store and have access to the product catalog. And what we've done with the wholesale stores, we've kept it very simple. So you'll see there's not a lot of evergreen pages, not a lot of choices in the main menu because all of that type of information is stored on the consumer site. The wholesale store is just for purchasing products in wholesale. So what we did is we made a quick order form and click on the quick order form. It shows all the products that are available for purchasing and wholesale and allows the people to buy them in cases and they can buy, you know, whatever number of cases they want. And in one form you can add more than one product. So products from across the whole collection of what's available for wholesale, and then just one click of the button on the add to cart. We'll add all those products to the cart for that wholesale customer if they wanted to on that quick order form, they could also then get more information about the product if they wanted it. They could click on the product listing and see the product page because those do exist on the wholesale site too. And then the cart, they get to check out. And here you'll see we have the checkout experience for the wholesale customers. So all in all, that's the wholesale experience for sand straw. It's a fairly simple because it's focused on allowing the customers to just purchase quickly and easily their wholesale products. Thanks for listening.
