Video Walkthrough of the Site
Hey Scott Austin here from Jane Puma. And in this video I'm going to show you the website that we've just finished for Lou. Lonnie lumani is a faucet manufacturer here in Southern California. They manufacture their own faucets and then sell them directly to consumers and they also sell them to home pros. So here we are on the homepage and Lonnie is a Hawaiian word and they have a very tropical theme as part of their branding. Cause even with their, they're soft colors in the logo. And so on their homepage we've got this, you know, just setting the sense and tone of Hey, tropical resort, luxury high end which is what we're, we're shooting for here. At same thing with the, the navigational photos here, I'm trying to have it more, more high end. So on the homepage, what we've got is the first thing is in the top bar, we added this little module up here, which is free shipping. So, you know, most people add the free shipping bar app to their store. But it takes up another row, right? It takes a little more space on your site. So what I did this in this one reason, the turbo theme is I just add this code into the turbo theme and you can edit the text and set the thresholds all with theme settings. So it's all, it's all in the theme customization side of things. And if you click on, let's click on a product really quickly and add it to the cart. A lot of this stuff is sold out, so if we won't get to one of those, so we added to the cart. And then I go back to my homepage and it says, congratulations, you have free shipping. Right? If I had added a product that was $25, it would say, Hey, only 75 more dollars from free shipping. So you should build that into the theme instead of having it in a separate app. And we've got this navigation at the top and what we're trying to do is allow people to navigate two different ways. One is by room or function, bathroom, kitchen, commercial, and the other is by collections. You know, let me see everything in the [inaudible] collection for example. So let's just click on the buy collections. This collection only has two items right now, but you can see these are for kitchens is a kitchen faucet and the matching soap dispenser. Other collections, let's just go into the Aurora for example. This is more of a bathroom collection. So there's bathroom, faucets, showers, shower faucets, and then in bathtub and then shower bars and different hardware on collection pages. We're showing tag filters. So allow people to say, well, let me see the ones that are Chrome only or let me see the ones that are, you know, nickel only and, and different things like that. So back to our homepage. We're replicating the navigation in the homepage element, which I like to do. Especially for people on the mobile phone. Cause most people on the phone, you know, don't use the hamburger. Let me explain what that means. I mean by that. So if I put this into a mobile phone view here and show you what it looks like on a pixel two XL, this is the hamburger up here and not many actually click on the hamburger menu item. So what I like to do is replicate the important parts of the navigation elements that are in the hamburger, replicate them in the elements on the homepage so people on the phone can quickly and visually see what their choices are and enter that brow shopping experience quickly. Let's take this back to desktop view. And then we also have, this is a brand new store, so there's only two reviews right now, but we have the a review app from the Shopify, the free review. And on top of that we've added the stamp.io add on app. And this is one of the modules that that stamped IO app gives you. We've also got a little email signup bar here. This is feeding into MailChimp and sends an automated a discount code for the 5% off on when people add their email address. Let's look at the shopping experience a little bit more. We already looked at a collection page with a tag filters. If I click on a product here we've got, you know, different variants listed out and then we've got this free shipping icon cause free shipping is so important for customers. We want to reinforce that. So we reinforce that right next to the add to cart button, right? Hey, free shipping on orders over a hundred dollars. There's also these things about the manufacturing process and certifications. It's lead free certified by these different industry experts in those things to reinforce the quality of the brand. We also list some product specs and we have some documentation, right? So every product is the four different types of docs that can be added. And so the, here's the product specs for example, it brings it up a different tab shows the PDF for the product specs that the manufacturer's making. And we add these as product meta fields. So one of the things we've done is I'm logged in right now to the front end of the store, but I've tagged that front end user account as an admin and that gives me admin functionalities here and this is where I can easily and those documents into the meadow field. So I bring up the Metta field view of all the products that I could see, which ones have that document attached to it and which ones don't. And if it doesn't have it, I can put in the URL for that doc right there quickly and easily. Back to our product page. We've got the review stars up top. We also got the review module at the bottom. You know, it's a brand new store, so the reads are empty for this product. And we've talked about everything there. Now some of the products that are tagged properly, this one isn't, but let's go into a Aurora for example, and click on this one here. If the product is tagged properly we get this about the Aurora collection. We haven't put the text in yet, but we'll put some promotional things about this is what the Aurora collection is all about. And then they can click on the element and see the full list of, of the collection view for that same collection to Zig and see what pieces match. So if you want to get the faucet for the sink, we'll maybe also want one for the tub or the shower or the, you know, the towel racks and those kinds of things. We also have an argument pro page, which is basically soliciting pros to sign up and develop a relationship with the Lonnie. We've got this form here. It's purely an HTML form. We're not using any extra apps. We put the little bit gray background and really call it out that Hey, these are all elements that go together inside of this one form. And then we've got some evergreen pages at the bottom. We've got an about us. This one is still being built out with the company, starting to talk about themselves and, and you know, explain how their Southern California, their American, you know, it's a family owned business, all that good stuff about our products. They've already filled out this pretty well. They're talking about the quality of their products in the manufacturing process. And you know, I like how the turbo theme allows us to build these really rich and engaging evergreen pages pretty quickly and easily. We've got a whole bunch of other evergreen pages. I won't go into them all. They'd go, some nice ones that they have here though is here's the limited lifetime warranty that they explain it to their customers. But they also do a lot of their business outside of their store. So they allow their customers who purchased from a retail outlet for example, to come here and now do a warranty registration right online in the store. So that's, that's really a nice functionality for them. And they also have the ability, the customer can come here and fill out a form to find an installer for the product if they don't have one locally available for them. And I don't know why that page is taking so long to load up. So we're just gonna skip over that. And then they've also got a gallery, which looks really nice. In the turbo, Athena's Mason area affects where each of the rows, they make all the product, all the images, the same height. And then you can expand them and look at them, you know, in this view here. So that is, I think everything I've shown you. Thanks for watching this. If you have any questions or need help with your store, feel free to let me know. Thanks a lot. Bye.
